"Angels fall without you there.."

So inspiring! The Goo Goo Dolls sound so good live! =D Unlike some bands that can't do live for nuts. As much as I love some of Hoobastank's stuff, their live is.. meh.

I've always wanted to go busking one day. The plan would be to obtain a busking license here in Melbourne ($50, not cheap man!) with a group of friends, each person picks a spot and busks for a set time limit, say.. 3 hours. At the end of the day, see who has the most earnings. Haha!

It'll be fun, and an interesting experience too. Don't you think? =D

Muscle.. pain...

Just came back from SNOWBOARDING!!

Hahahahaha! Such incredible fun it is! xD

And it was easier to get started than I thought it would be! Sure looks easier than skiing.

Of course, I was also incredibly talented at falling all over the place. Hilarious! xD

Hope I can go again sometime in the future! Shame it was only a day trip!

The weather was gorgeous for skiing in the morning! Bright blue skies, clear weather! Ah.. what a sight!

When evening came the weather was a nightmare.. Strong winds, poor visibility. Winds were so strong it could push you uphill on the snowboard. Suffer like mad.

My body is aching like an old man now. hahahaha, but it was so FUNNNNNN..

Back to the weekdays again. I'm so excited to get our mouse maze robot working! During our first test run it made a PERFECT U-turn on the maze track! What a sight that was! =D It's days like these I'm happy to be studying electrical engineering.

We must perfect it before presentation on Wednesday! Yosh!!

I'm going SNOWBOARDING!

Hahaha. so excited!

Only a day trip though. Must make the most of it!

Hopefully I'm more talented on standing on my two feet instead of rolling down the snow-covered hills..

Sexy Black!

Here's to you Jud.. =P

My new darling, say hello to Sasha. xD

I so suck at putting screen protectors on. I trapped probably 3 spoonfuls of dust while applying it on.

No, I have no idea who the Penrith Panthers are.

Some Aussie Rugby team la..

Just thought it looked nice with the protective case. Ahahahahaha. xD

Never again will I be ashamed to play the DS on the train! =P

ROCKKKK!!

Ahahahaha! When I saw this pic I thought of Crissy. Should be made into a t-shirt or something. xD

Charlie bit me

Sunday, August 24, 2008

Ahahahahaha! Thanks Xin for the vid!

"Charlie! That really hurts!" Lol..

Charlie's brother doesn't seem like the brightest of kids. =p

And the British accent somehow makes it funnier. xD

Mid Term week!

Saturday, August 23, 2008

Mid term week! Gah!

Exams to study for, projects and assignments due, lab reports to be marked. Someone end my misery please..

Just keep swimming, just keep swiming..

Even had a nightmare about my lecturer coming round to mark off lab books. What a ridiculous dream that was.. I haven't had a bad dream containing lecturers or teachers since primary school. This must be really scaring me..

Come to think of it, my nightmare in primary school was about me not handing in my PEKA science lab report book. Surprise surprise.. xD

I still remember that dream as clear as day. I was in the middle of class when my science teacher bangs the door, storms into the class and shouts at me,

"JUSTINNNN!! MANA BUKU PEKA AWAK!?!?!"

I jumped out of bed and woke up in cold sweat. Needless to say I completed my buku PEKA work that very day.

I'll get through, I guess. You'd think that after doing it for 5 semesters it'll be a little easier. Then again, this semester IS a tough one.

Sigh.. At least the days are getting warmer. Away with winter, hello spring!

So long! Farewell!

Goodbye old friend! =) Thanks for the 18 months of solid gaming entertainment! From wonderful fun singleplayer games, playing Meteos and Tetris with Kee Ken and Jud to playing QuickSpot and Zoo Keeper with Kat and Liesl. Ahahahaha! Good times! The PSP has nothing on ya!

Lol.. so happened I caught myself in the webcam image.

And thus ends my first eBay sale!! It was really exciting to see the bids going up! Every morning I wake to see if anyone offered more money for my darling. haha!

A lady e-mailed me, requesting if I can sell it to her quick because she was planning to get it as a gift for her daughter on Tuesday. The great thing was that she lived around the area, meaning I won't have to mail it and I get the money easily too!

We discussed over the phone about the price for awhile. I wanted 130 dollars and she wanted 100. So we agreed on the exact spot in between at 115 dollars. =) I thought it was about the right price, other people were selling perfectly working used DS with games included for about 130. Mine was with a busted button, no games sommore! haha.

I met up with her at the intersection of Wellington Rd/Princes Highway, said my last goodbye and handed her over to the new owner. Got the cash, exchanged thank you's and headed back to cook dinner.

She e-mailed me again this evening. She said her 12 year old daughter LOVES the color. And to think I was using such a girly color for a year and a half.. =P Hahaha, welcome to the wonderful world of DS gaming girl! =D Hope you enjoy it as much as I did! =)

So now.. I'm DS-less. hahaha, good in a way I guess with exams coming up next week. Guess I'll go to Chadstone one of these days when I'm free to take a look.

Batuk

Friday, August 15, 2008

Sigh.. It has been a week and I'm still coughing like nonsense. So hard to sleep at night.

Not to mention during lectures too! I'll be able to hear my coughs in the recorded lectures, lol.

Thanks for the honey lemon drink Sing Ping! I think it's so nice of you to make your wonderful drink for anyone who's not feeling too well. =)

So many people not feeling well this week. Get well soon guys!

eBay seller!

I've always been a big fan of eBay and other similar sites because plenty of things can be found online for much cheaper prices. My beloved Canon camera, my mp3 player..

Who would have guessed I'll be using it for selling!!

It's quite an interesting experience. Everyday I eagerly check my post to see if anyone bidded for it! So exciting when people do! lol..

What am I selling you ask?

Looks familiar? =D

Why on earth am I selling my beloved sayang? The reason is simple.. I've grown tired of it and will be replacing it with a PSP to play with Xin. The cooler games are on the PSP anyway.

As if! xP

Yes, a PSP is gorgeous and all but nothing compares to the simple multiplayer joy of a DS! I'm a DS Fanboy for life. xD

The real reason? For one, the left shoulder button is broken for half a year now. I sent it for repair back in Malaysia but they returned it to me saying they didn't find anything wrong with it. (-_-") Not quite sure which joker examined it.

In Australia on the other hand there are official service centers. However, they are rather far for me to access purely by public transport. Also since my DS warranty is long over, it's gonna cost me at least 80 dollars to get it replaced. 240 ringgit, can buy half a DS.

The BIGGEST motivating factor? I'm looking for a more manly color. =P

So I'm trying to sell it off, and hopefully the earnings from it will aid my purchase of a more manly one. =D I think I should be able to fetch a reasonably good sum from it. People were willing to pay $80 for a DS that was in 2 pieces, what more for one with just 1 faulty button?

We'll see how it goes.. Wish me luck!

HAH?! Not Chuck Norris?

Tuesday, August 12, 2008

I mistook this guy...

...for this guy.

Alar.. I was so sure it was Chuck Norris. Mana tau it's Clint Eastwood pulak. Hahahahaha. They're both in the texas cowboy outfit. I blame the black and white colors!

Oh well.. Hope you like your poster anyway Gabe. lol. =P

Praise Him with the strings!!

Saturday, August 09, 2008

One quick one before bed!

Thanks Leslie for sharing this one! =D It's now my wallpaper. xD Such good timing too! Right after my first worship session playing with the OCF worship team. Wanted to share it with you guys as well!

Psalm 150

1 Praise the LORD.
Praise God in his sanctuary;
praise him in his mighty heavens.

2 Praise him for his acts of power;
praise him for his surpassing greatness.

3 Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet,
praise him with the harp and lyre,

4 praise him with tambourine and dancing,
praise him with the strings and flute,

5 praise him with the clash of cymbals,
praise him with resounding cymbals.

6 Let everything that has breath praise the LORD.
Praise the LORD.

Praise Him with the strings!!

Fever... again?!!

Friday, August 08, 2008

2 days of fever dee.. Nuts..

For some reason whenever I contemplate on my health and feel blessed for how healthy I am at that point of time, I fall sick within a week.

Shouldn't think so much next time. lol.

Like James always says, I'm so prone to getting sick..

Sighh... Thanks to the fever I didn't go for 2 days worth of class. Sleep all day only... So much to catch up!! (TT_TT)

Finally got to play for OCF! What an experience it was, to be playing with so many other gifted musicians all wonderfully blessed by God! =D As nervous as I was, it turned out well. xD All glory to Him!! So much to learn! I hope that my last few months here will be put to good use serving and learning at the same time.

My parcel arrived home! Thank God! I have bad experience with parcels going missing. (T_T) Your sms made my day Tina! =D Glad you love it!

The Olympics Opening Ceremony was crazy!! =D So well done! Anyone else watched it?

We had a good laugh over one of the athletes who stopped and moved backward to take a photo of the leng lui's at the side of the track. lol.. He's going to get a really good sounding, caught on global TV! haha.

May I pleaseeeee be well enough for ice skating tomorrow..

Dream a little dream?

Tuesday, August 05, 2008

I often dream of the most retarded nonsense. If dreams are the window to your soul, I'm a pretty sorry soul. xD

Usually I dream a mix of reality and nonsense. Reality being what I've been doing lately or thoughts that have been lingering in my cranium for sometime.

Example, the night after Jeon's and Izzie's water-balloon birthday surprise I dreamed that I and Harrison Ford (the younger version, not the grandfather in the last Indiana Jones movie) we assigned to forcefully take over a certain pirate ship/boat. After managing to sneak on-board the boat we were soon surrounded by the leader and the crew on the deck. In defense, Harrison Ford threatened them telling them to surrender or face the deadly contents of my backpack.

I myself didn't know what were the contents of the backpack I was carrying, so I opened it up. Lo and behold, the deadly contents of my backpack were...

Water balloons.

We were threatening fearsome pirates who were armed to the teeth.. with my backpack of water balloons.

Surprisingly we still managed to subdue the crew, xD I won't be writing about it here though. Too long and brainless..

Lately I've been having a few insecurities in my mind. I've been shrugging them off, telling myself I was probably feeling down and moody at that period of time or something. When that thought appears in your dreams I guess it really must be bothering me, as much as I'd like to ignore it.

In the dream, a friend of mine said something to me that had to do with my insecurity and drove off. I sort of knew that I was dreaming, because of all the ridiculous nonsense that happened prior to my friend talking to me, but even so the words he said hit me hard. I was left standing alone on the middle of the highway, dazed, just thinking about what he said. It was like a bitter taste in the mouth. My stomach felt like it does when riding roller-coasters, only this roller-coaster just went straight down and nowhere else.

What a horrible feeling to wake up with..

Dreams are the window to the soul? Maybe it's not too far-fetched after all..
