Wow... It's been awhile. Where do I start?
Photobucket hasn't been very good to me lately. Fortunately today it's working fine. Here we go then. =D
For those who don't know, I'm working now until my course resumes again.
I wish I could tell you that it was at my dad's office.. You're blessed John Lee. So very blessed..
Oh how I miss the people, the laughs, the weekly KFC meal with Miss Carrie. But most of all I miss the chair..
Yes you heard me right. The chair.
Here's where I'm working now.
Micro House in MidValley, selling laptops, printers, iPods and many more PC accessories..
Well, I can't complain. I pretty much asked for it. I wanted to have some experience since I felt that it would be good for me. Guess I'm getting what I asked for.
My feet have never been put to such good use. The hours are from 11am to 10pm. That's about 10 hours of standing a day serving customers. Minus an hour for lunch and short breaks.
And after a week of standing..
This appeared on my big toe. I believe Simon has exactly the same thing. I remember him telling me it never went away. Lol.. You must be a really good prefect to get that while you're still in school Simon. =P
Can't say that it's all bad either. It feels great to successfully sell that 3999 ringgit laptop to that doubtful customer. =)
Not to mention the adrenaline rush you get when you see that same customer come back the very next day with a disgruntled look on their face to complain about the laptop. =p
I still remember the very first thing I sold.
xD
And check out the second thing I sold.
Gorgeous.. A 8Gb iPod Nano, sleek black.
Then again, maybe it doesn't count. The guy who got it was the "I-have-so-much-money-I-don't-have-to-around-for-a-better-deal" kind. Lol..
For some customers, you pour out all your heart to recommending something to them and they don't even twitch. Others just come to you and ask, "What does that do? Oh cool, how much is it then? Okay, I'll take one". =)
Over the last weekend, a few of us ex-RBS monkeys had a road trip up to Cameron Highlands. =D
It was to visit Gabriel, my college-mate Leong Eng and Reeshie who are currently in RBS. I'm guessing Reeshie is a RBS thing.. Haha. =D
You look so macho in that Eng..
They're doing well I'm happy to say. =) Suleen's gift of donuts to Gabe and Reesh was a hit in the campsite. I see business opportunity..
It was also a great time to relive some good memories, eating good food and indulging in superb banana pancakes and scones. Oh, I salivate just thinking about it. Even thought it was short, it was well worth it. =)
And 8 of us shared this HUGE hostel room. My toilet was bigger than the room's hall. Then again it wasn't much of a hall. It was more like a "space in front of the door".
Haha, what fun.
And who would have thought you'll be able to find this in a strawberry farm?
An airsoft handgun, complete with an accurate laser sight! Only for 12 bucks!! =D
This is so not a toy. It's powerful stuff man, accurate too. Wonder if I can get the yellow pellets here if I run out.
Well.. It's time to go to bed. If you've read this post up to this point, I congratulate you. =p
Thank God it's Friday tomorrow. Can't wait for a weekend break.
One last thing..
one more..
Eat your heart out Gabriel Tan! I work with this dude. =D Go ask him for pointers. Lol..
wait wait.. One last one..
Okay.. I'm done. =)
Work work...

Bring on 2007!!~
Monday, January 01, 2007
This is kinda late, I know.. =)
Wow.. has it sunk in yet? It's 2007 already!! First of all I want to wish everyone a joyous new year!! May the year ahead be filled with His blessings, joy and love! =)
This years Watchnight service at church has been a huge blessing. Kudos to Desmond and Choo for leading the meeting! =D Contrary to what most people believe, I truly enjoy celebrating New Years day in church. There's this much warmer and cozier feeling to it. =)
I just wish I could have joined the Pondok Gang to launch fireworks at the padang. I sure you guys had a blast! Pun not intended. =)
Also, a happy belated birthday to Aish!! =D It was awesome to have such a huge reunion with the Pondok Gang.. Not to mention it was an outing to The Curve since Aisyah got a RM 120 Borders voucher from her parents. Lucky girl.. =D
Ah, while we were there...
The entire first appearances of the GREEN LANTERN, Hal Jordan!!
I just had to get it! For a book that was 500 pages thick and only costs 30 bucks, it was a steal!!
I'm still not finished with the book yet. It's that thick!!
It's such a conspiracy.. The Green Arrow issue for the same kind of book costs 55 RINGGIT!! FIFTY!!!
Gah...
Why?...
I'm sorry to break your heart Jon, the Superman issue was 30 bucks too. Lol.. I believe they gave discounts to the not-so-happening superheros. =p
Yay Green Arrow!!!!
Now you know what to get me for my birthday.. =p

With that I finish season 1 of JUSTICE LEAGUE!!
Justice League is disrupting my sleeping patterns realllllllyyyy bad.
I particularly loved Savage Time, Twilight and Tabula Rasa. Awesome stuff!.. =D
"I'm gonna need a longer grapple.." lol..
Can't wait to see Green Lantern in action!!
Bring on JUSTICE LEAGUE UNLIMITED!!

Hmmm.. The internet seems okay now. Apparently the latest earthquake in Taiwan today damaged a few undersea cables which disrupted internet connections all over Asia. I guess they already managed to bypass the internet traffic somehow. The connection was hopeless this afternoon.
The quake was massive with a magnitude of 7.1. Thankfully only 3 deaths have been recorded so far, nothing compared to the damage done exactly 2 years ago on December 26, 2004. Where the earthquake caused a tsunami that claimed around 230,000 lives across 9 countries.
Thank God..

Merry Christmas to one and all!! =D It seems to arrive faster and faster each year doesn't it? Blink once, blink twice and it's already Christmas. I wanted to revamp the Noodle Shop for the whole Christmas theme but it seemed rather tedious. Haha, another time when I'm free I suppose. =)
Thank you truckloads guys for the thoughtful gifts! =)
Thank you Jane for the ultimate geek head accessory for any Naruto fan, a Konoha ninja headband and wristband!! Cosplay anyone? xD
To Lim See Huang for the book, The Silmarillion. =D Hope I can get to read it sometime. Hope you liked the home made Space Invaders shirt!! =D
And a big arigato to my gaming co-op partner/rival cousin Key Can for the note and the 3 CS figurines! Oh the many 'ohsome' memories that flooded my head as I was reading it. =) Snow Bros, Sunset Riders.. Those were the days man. =D Hope you liked the shirt and the drawing!
and for old times sake!..
To Mr. Sim Song Wei and his dear sister Shanice Sim. Thank you for the Gashapon capsule toy and the invisible ink pen!! Haha, I'm overjoyed to say that the pen works wonderfully. =) And the capsule toy is an awesome addition to my collection!! Thank you!!
And finally to Xin, thanks a million dear for the Cluedo set!! =D I did not expect this at all. This was a really pleasant surprise. =) Tina, Christina and I played a game the very night I got it. Haha! Do thank your uncle and aunt for the moose soft toy as well!!
The t-shirts at Threadless are so cool. Xin's brother got his whole family shirts from that website. I loved the design her uncle got. Lol.. Hilarious.
And thanks Maisie for the snowman note holder and to everyone else for the candy canes, chocolate, ding dang toys! =D Such nostalgia.
Oh, by the way,. Some joker smashed my car's side window yesterday while we were at Sean's and Jennifer's place for lunch.
All just to steal my mom's Smart Tag. Sigh...
I'm just thankful nothing else was taken and that no one was hurt..
I'm gonna send Betsy to the Honda service center tomorrow. Sure hope they can get it fixed soon.
Thanks to everyone there for putting a smile on my face and cheering me up when I was sure that I was going to die when I get home. =) Haha.
Oh, thanks Sean and Jennifer for the fantastic lunch that day! =D
For church this year, we were given the chance to give back to God something for all He has given to us.
What have you given to Him this Christmas? =)

Confessions of an addict
Thursday, December 21, 2006
"Why not?", I thought to myself. It couldn't hurt, everyone's doing it. Not to mention I'm bored anyway, so I took it home.. Just before dinner I decided to give it a try. "One, just one.., I thought to myself. Then I'll have my dinner and do my other stuff I had to do. But once I started, I just couldn't stop! I tried!! I tried so hard, I wanted to stop but I just had to have more! This uncontrollable craving took over me and before I knew it, it was already 11.30! I gave in to 5!!.. 5!! A whole 2 and a half hours!!
I blame you Simon Sim!! I blame youuuuuuuuuuu!!!
My name is Justin Lee, and I'm now a Justice League addict..

Cold sores. Gah..
What a week it has been.. Staying over at John's place, going to Vietnam, caroling night, the comic fiesta, where do I start?
Unfortunately I can't blog properly now. Too tired. Just wanted to post something to keep this site alive. Tomorrow I'll do it I'm sure, hopefully.
There are so many pictures I want to post up. Haha, especially the one of the herd of ducks crossing the highway at Hanoi. Such a cute sight. =)
Ii Shan brought a packet of the US Army food that his friend from the US army gave him. I thought it was so cool. I'll probably write on that later. Sigh, where are you Kee Ken??
I realized the SubangCS hamachi network is dead. I don't see anyone online lately. Guess it died while I was away. hmmm... We must revive it back people!! My aim is horridly rusty after a week without gaming.
Oh, welcome back Chuen! =) We MUST have a CS night one of these weeks!! Fix your computer Ken!! I have the DirectX installer you wanted.

I just got back from kuantan. The free wireless access from my grandmother's place was short lived. I never saw that wireless connection again after the last blog update. haha!
It's always a blast to visit Teluk Cempedak beach. =)
What awesome weather it was for kite flying!!

I'm at my grandmothers place now, leeching on somebody else's unsecured wireless connection.
Buahahahahahahaha... xD
Who would have known that somebody in my grandmother's neighbourhood had a wireless router?
Wonder if it's fast enough to join the CS nights back in Subang..

Towards the end I was so worried that all 4 of his ukelele strings would just snap and slash him across the face. Then he'll be rolling all over the floor screaming and covering his bleeding face.
Me and my imagination.. =)
He's so skilled! Madness..
Time sure flies when you're idle and on holiday. Didn't realize my blog was left unattended for so long.
Well, I'll be going off to Kuantan from tomorrow till Thursday. My family will be there to visit my grandparents and to collect my mom's new car. With that the Honda City will be undividedly mine!! =D Buahahahahahahaha!!
Until my sister starts driving that is. Haha..
Then on Sunday I'm off to Hanoi with Xin and her uncle and aunt. Her uncle is in the travel industry, after seeing what's planned this trip should be a blast! =D Heard the weather there is awfully cold. I'm not the biggest fan of near zero temperatures. Then again it was a great excuse to go shopping for more warm clothing!! xD
I'm so happy with my new hoodie jacket!! Haha!!
I come back the day before our TRU caroling event. Sure hope I'll have the energy to drive and play guitar..

I keep forgetting to post this up. Here we go!!
Check out John's expression in the upper left corner. Lol.. Just when everyone else was looking cool.
I thought this was a nice shot. =)
I'm in the mood for the pasta buffet at Italianis in OneUtama. =D Hehe.. Anyone care to join me?
If you want the photos, just ask me. I can't got the photos to work right. Not to mention they're a little small.

*cough cough*
Tuesday, November 28, 2006
I just had a quick look at the miniature mountain of textbooks that Gabriel passed down to my sis.
Gabriel.. Your handwriting is so freakishly neat and tidy.
Fantastic man...
I'm so ashamed of my handwriting.
Haha.
As my title suggests, I'm not very well at the moment. I got hit by a fever on Saturday, just when I needed to lead Sunday worship with Jennifer the very next day. What timing.. Not to mention both of us fell sick.
Thankfully now the fever is gone. The only thing that remains now is a horrid cough.
Sigh..
I'm out of the "Cap Ibu dan Anak" cough mixture.
Totally unrelated to the topic above, my beloved computer is starting to fail me. My videos now seem sluggish for some reason. How can I watch Prison Break in this state? D=
Sigh, my connection also loves to disconnect on me. Really undesirable while playing online games. I wonder if it's my router, my computer or TMNet's problem. Any IT guys out there that can help?

I'll be going off to Port Dickson tomorrow with my college mates!! =D I won't be back until Friday, thus The Noodle Shop will be on holiday as well.
Counter-strike nights have been going great!! =D Haha, although we are looking for someone with a good PC and a stable line to host our games. My PC can host, but unfortunately my internet line is not very stable.
Then again, it was when I fully disabled my firewall. Hmmm...
Gotta finish packing, see you all in 3 days!! =)

Let the games begin!!
A flash toy to keep you entertained. =)
Levers
For once a non-kiasu Flash toy to play with. =D I played this quite awhile back but couldn't find the time to recommend it. The game doesn't come with instructions, so I won't either. =) Just toy with it! Have a blast!!
If only fixing a messed up computer was this cool.
The goal is simple. In a nutshell, something just went awfully wrong with your computer. Your job is to bring it back to life by solving a series of puzzles.
It was a little too short for my liking, but still enjoyable nonetheless. Gotta love that sense of accomplishment when you figure out the solution to it. =D What I liked the most about this game was the way it was presented and the atmosphere that it produced. Not to mention the eerie background sounds.. *shiver*
I spent the whole evening today bonding with my brother through the magic of video games. =) The new Justice League Heroes for the PS2 is fun!! I'm surprised it was so well made. Most games based on anything is usually sloppy and not worth playing.
We were "arguing" half the time because we were stealing each others experience points. Lol..
I remember back when I was standard 4, I told my mother "One day when Judson reaches my age, I'll play Megaman X and video games with him." =)
Haha, I just realized that the day has already come. =D Although we aren't exactly playing Megaman which I used to play when I was his age. How times have changed. =)
I will one day play video games with my children and my grandchildren! =D If I'm still capable of catching up with their "canggih" gaming technology that is. Haha!!
Tomorrow Ken and I shall distribute the Counter-Strike:Source CD! =D Let the games begin!!

Batman and Wolverine!!
Monday, November 13, 2006
Two great movies in 3 days. How I love the holidays. =D
Brilliant. Just brilliant..
This was mind-blowingly awesome!! Definitely a must-watch before it leaves the cinema. =D All I expected was a rivalry thing between the two magicians. What a plot..
It was so hilarious that we were referring to the characters as Batman and Wolverine. =D Haha, find out who the cast are and you'll see why.
Also..
Another really cool movie. =D It certainly exceeded my expectations since I didn't expect a movie adapted from a manga to be so good. Now I'm dying to get my hands on the manga. =D
Wish I could say more but I won't want to spoil the fun those who haven't watched. =)
And one more thing, anyone wants to join me and Kee Ken's Counter-Strike: Source games? =D We play over Hamachi which is a LAN emulator. The latest patch for the game is brilliant!! Do drop by the Cbox if you're interested. =)

Holiday bliss!!
Saturday, November 11, 2006
It has BEGUN!! My finals are finally over. After all the sweat and toil, I can now have my rest.
A 3 month break sounds good anytime. =)
I'll be resuming university life by early March, I have decided to major in Electrical and Computer Systems engineering. Haha, I couldn't be more excited. Although it does sadden me knowing that my closest uni mates will be taking a different major. Next semester's gonna be so different, I just feel it.
No more singing with Kin Leong Westlife songs until the lecturer arrives.
No more Celina as my lab partner, reminding me of monthly tests and project deadlines.
No more hearing stories from Han Yee about him staying up just to watch the Arsenal match even though we have exam papers the very next day.
Sigh...
I sure hope we'll still go out for lunch together. =) Why take Mechanical Engineering? Computer systems is the FUTURE!!
I miss them already. =(
On a brighter note, we'll be taking a trip to Port Dickson a week from now. =) Our last Pulau Pangkor adventure certainly was memorable. Thankfully, beer is not cheap in PD. =D I doubt I'll be seeing its hilarious effects this time. Haha.. Not to mention it will reduce the chances of someone spilling beer all over my handphone. The stuff works on electronics too!! My phone was all befuddled for a whole day after that incident. Like when you pressed 9 it will give you 7. lol..
Like Miss Lee Ee May, I'll make a list of what I want to accomplish before my holidays end..
P.s. - Ee May!! Heard you're joining us for MPO!! yay!! =D Welcome back!!
Things to do before my holidays end :
1. Clean and redecorate my room - I'm so proud to say that I've already completed half of this. My table area is all organized and tidy now. Before this it was a just place to dump my lecture notes, text books, comic books and other junk on. Who needs a table? I study in bed anyway. =p
Well, I've decided to properly utilize the table now. Using the laptop in bed is murder for my back. I'm proud to say that I'm typing this down using my table. Haha! Hopefully this keeps up till next semester. Now all that's left is the music stuff, the bookshelf and redecorating my wall.
2. Continue guitar education - Now what everyone's having their holidays, what better time to jam together and learn? =) I plan to first finish up with the 6 lessons my previous teacher Raymond owes me. What worries me is that Jon told me he hasn't been able to contact Raymond for quite awhile. Sure hope he didn't run away or something..
3. CHRISTMAS SHOPPING!! - Better start early this year. =D
4. Catching up with old schoolmates - I've missed so many gatherings and mamak sessions because of Uni. Looking forward to catch up with the Pondok Gang over a glass of glorious Milo Ais and Maggi Goreng mata kerbau. =D
5. Working - Once I get bored out of my skull I'll look for a job. Anyone care to join me? =) I was thinking of finding a part-time thing somewhere. If there's no luck I guess it'll be office boy at Dad's office again. Haha, working there last time was pretty entertaining, although pretty mundane at times. Well, we'll see. =)
6. Reading - What a joke huh? =p I'm sure Crissy will have a good laugh at this. I have 5 books waiting for me to read them on my table. I really want to read them although I would naturally gravitate towards fragging Kee Ken online rather than picking up a book. This would be a challenge..
7. EXERCISE!! - Yet another thing that has been bothering me this semester. My belly is looking more prosperous by the month. *Say it ain't so!! D= * It's about time I do something about it now that I have the time. Again, i would rather lay lifeless in bed rather than sweating it out. Another challenge..

Double Wires
Wednesday, November 08, 2006
I'm so sick of the Irritating Game. Like Chuen, I think I had enough. =)
So... Here's yet another Flash Game!! =D
The genius at Dofi-Blog has released yet another game. Not the most original but entertaining nonetheless. In Double Wires you manouver a stickman through obstacles by shooting rope out of his hands that stick to his surroundings. You feel like a Spiderman who just started out learning the ropes. (Pun intended)
I don't like the fact that the obstacles repeats itself after awhile, but it's still quite a challenge since the speed increases gradually.
You know the rest, I'll open a Leaderboard once I have enough scores. I got 154.03 on my first try. =) Beat that!!

Bah.. Multi-tasking
Thursday, November 02, 2006
Here's a quick fix for all you Flash Game lovers. =D
Bah.. I was never very good at multi-tasking.
This is one of those things in life which are harder to do than they sound. The concept is simple, on the upper portion of the screen you keep a bouncing ball from falling "Pong" style. Simple enough..
On the lower half however, you also have to balance another ball to keep it from falling. The position of your Pong bat determines the incline or slope of the lower surface.
It's harder than it sounds.. Really!
I tried to find out the meaning of Jeu Chiant in english. AltaVista's Babel Fish website translated it to "Shitting Play". (O_o) Lol!
Post all your High-Scores on the comments section!! =D I'll post a leaderboard on this page. Ignite the "KIASU"ness in you!! XD
I'll start first, So far my best is 30.393 seconds. =D Beat that!!
*Edit* - There's a button at the bottom left corner for english if you can't read French. =)
Currynoodles - 37.237 seconds
Chuen - 33.645 seconds
Gabriel - 32.??? seconds
Hannah - 31.217 seconds
Kepohgirl - 25.??? seconds
Jon Tan - Still waiting.. =p
*update* - This is crazy... Just when I thought 37 seconds was fantastic already. Funny thing is, me and Ken realized that our Counter-Strike aim has become much more steady and controlled after playing this for an hour. Lol... Potential training program? =D
