It's ALIVEEEEEE..

Saturday, July 28, 2007

I have 5 minutes. Just five. I have a report to complete about line charges, electric fields and an assignment Laplace Transforms.

*Sigh...*

Hello there! It's been about.. 21 days or so? hmm?

Now, the sole purpose of this post is to silence the jokers on the cbox telling me that my blog is dead. Yes, I know it's dead. You don't have to remind me. =D

Can't blame me, holidays are too precious for blogging. Watching movies, gaming, sleeping. Ah.. Good times. I easily watched at least 10++ movies during my holidays, a luxury not possible when I have classes and stuff.

Then again, I might just be lazy and uninspired. Well, mostly the former than the latter. *grin*

In an effort to give a fresh new look to the blog, I was looking through a number of templates to redecorate The Noodle Shop. Unfortunately nothing really caught my fancy. Oh well.. when it's not broken, why fix it?

So.. What's up with me lately? Well.. for starters, against my wishes I'm back in Monash University again. I would love to rant on how a month of holiday is not enough, but I'll probably be beaten up and smacked senseless by a certain somebody from The One Academy.

Heck I'll say it anyway.. A month is SOOOOO not enough!

Well, on the bright side. Monash has officially moved to its brand spanking new campus!

On the first day of this semester I felt like I was overseas far away studying. And coincidently the morning weather was a little chilly that day.

It's always great to meet up with old classmates and makan buddies again, so many stories to tell and share. Although it was sad that a few of them failed units last semester. I'm thankful that I made it though without failing, but in hindsight I barely made it.

With my less-than-stellar results, I have decided to work much harder this semester. My last one was certainly a drag, having being ripped away from my close friends and my comfort zone. I reckon I'm more emotionally stable to face this semester. =) What more, the new library is gorgeous! The timing couldn't be better, a brand to campus to go with a fresh new start.

It's been 2 weeks already. I'd say I'm doing alright. =D Too early to judge though, the workload usually starts to pile on week 4. Better brace myself..

Isn't it wonderful when things just work?

I think I'll enjoy Digital Systems class. It's interesting how seemingly simple logic requires so much thought, planning and wires to implement.

We were surprised that this mess of wires worked the first time we put it together. Oh the euphoria.. =D

Well.. I have spent 55 minutes on this post. 11 times more that I intended to. I can kiss that Electric field report goodbye.

"Tomorrow... Tomorrow.. I'll finish you... Tomorrow..."

I've forgotten how stress-relieving blogging can be. When there's stuff in your head you just need to let out, nothing works better than a good blog post. If we're lucky, we'll see more in the near future. =)

A few more pictures to end this post. Farewell then!

Budak-budak hijau!! I actually thought my shirt was brown. Darn colour-blindness..

Gotta love Kee Ken's expression in this picture. Priceless.. =D

3D sounds!

I think this is so cool..

Virtual Matchbox

Virtual Haircut

Now, for the best effect you must use earphones to listen to the MP3's.

Don't worry, nobody's going to scream suddenly while you're listening to this. =)

I like the virtual barber shop. To my surprise I still get the chills even though it's a "virtual" electric razor. Lol..

They MUST use this effect for FPS gaming someday... Maybe then we can all finally hear Jon Tan sneaking up on us with his pesky crowbar.. *grin* =D

I was just browsing through my old blog posts when I realized something.

Looking back at the archives, I checked the date of the very first post of this blog.

June 17th..

Wow.. A year already?

About 1 year ago, I was on semester holiday and decided to re-open The Noodle Shop as a place to ramble, release stress, express myself and to generally tell people what I'm up to.

I think it's going pretty well, don't you? =)

Could use a little redecoration though, hmm.. I'll need help on this one.

Happy Anniversary Noodle Shop!!
=D

Holidays have been great so far. Not much of it left though, only 2 weeks if I'm not mistaken. I'm terrified of my results. I did my best, I can only pray now..

There have been 3 highlights in the past 2 weeks. Namely the Youth Outreach event, the Great Singapore holiday and of course, watching TRANSFORMERS! xD *squeal!!*

After many months of planning, preparation and practice (3 P's, lol...) The Invitation is finally over! Thank God for the response, 4 people gave their life to Christ on that night! Also 16 others rededicated their life to the Lord, myself included. =) It goes to show how God can touch even the hardest of hearts. I felt that I've gone numb to His voice, but that night I was brought to tears knowing how much I've hurt Him, the loving father ever waiting for his son to come home.

Do rebuke me and hold me accountable for the way I run my life, my words and my actions. There may be things I do that I don't realize, I'll need you guys to let me know. Should there be anything that needs to be said, do tell me alright? =)

Everyone did a great job that night! Actors, tech people, directors, ushers, counselors, decorations, food and everyone else who brought their friends. Great job guys! I'm sure our heavenly Father would be proud. =D There were a few hiccups here and there but the cover-up was top-notch. I didn't even notice some of them, hahaha. De Ming's a natural at cover lines.. lol..

Heard the crowd laugh pretty hard when I greeted Arjund as my "son". Lol.. Almost laughed as well, tried hard to keep focus. Good times eh son? xD I kinda miss the practices. Haha, they're plenty of fun. =)

Next up was my little trip to Singapore! Haha, such an awesome trip it was. =) Also a good time to bond with Suleen and John before they fly off to further their studies. I had a rocking time there.. =D I'm sure John, Suleen, Crissy and Erik can second that.

Thanks a billion to Erik for bringing us around Singapore. The dude takes us around as if he lives there, lol. He took us for shopping, makan, more shopping, more makan. You get the idea. ;)

Just thinking of the food there is making my saliva glands go crazy! Tako balls, Pork with asparagus, Mos Burgers, Kai Fan...

*mmmmmmmm.... Mos Burgers..*

Not to mention SHOPPING! Haha, I unleashed my inter shopper in that trip for sure! Got myself 2 shirts, a pair of shoes and lots and lots of snacks. The DC shop was having a sale! I can finally afford a shirt with the Superman logo on it. =D The Green Arrow shirts there were a joke, so horrible designs. Lol.. Everything else I bought there were for my family and a certain somebody. ;)

I was so happy with the shoes I got. Vans for 45 dollars. So what if they were a little tight? I absolutely love it! Haha.. Well, I was really happy with it until Kee Ken stated something about it today that I've never realized..

The colours are exactly the same as the ones used in A&W.

Lol.. Fantastic la you Ken.. How you remember the colours of A&W? Ahahaha..

The Science Center in Singapore is so much fun. A must visit for any trip to Singapore, especially for jakun people like Suleen, John, Crissy and myself. =P So much stuff to play with..

Also, we took this shot at the Science Center..

It still makes my bulu tangan stand ever time I see it..

*sigh..* By the end of next week, 5 people I know will be off somewhere to continue their studies. =(

To Suleen, John, Leonard, Jasmin and Panda, all the best for your studies wherever you're going. =) May the Lord continue to look after you and keep you well. I pray that you guys will be a blessing in the places He has placed you in. Have a blast! And don't forget to say hi every once in awhile. =D Will be missing you guys so much!

Ayo.. Kat Lee will also be going off to UK soon. Arvind too.. =(

Wow.. Such I long post. 2 weeks worth in one entry. I'm sure two-thirds of those reading wouldn't reach this point. Lol..

It is finished!

Monday, June 18, 2007

Jon messaged me to congratulate me sommore. Lol..

It felt like I've been losing sleep and stressing over it since forever. Finally! Kill the fattened calf!! My finals are over! xD

To celebrate, the first thing I did was to drive over to Kee Ken's place for some gaming fun. =D

Super Smash Bros for the N64 is awesome stuff man.. 4 player versus will so rock..

My thumb hurts quite a bit now. haha.. That's how kiasu we were. Could feel the sting while I was replying Jon's message.. Kee Ken's getting good with Pikachu. Lol.

Betsy broke down when I wanted to go back home from Ken's place. (TT_TT) *Sob sob* Something happened to the battery I suppose. My uncle had to come and jump start the car. The battery's gonna need replacing. She's getting expensive to maintain. =(

Just finished watching V for Vendetta. I got it a few days before my exam started, and I watched halfway the other day. =P Finally have to time to finish it off..

My verdict? Awesome stuff.. I think the script is what really shines in this movie. For those who prefer action scenes, you can't go wrong with the The Wachowski brothers handling the action. =D Don't hesitate to ask me if you want the movie! I'd gladly give it to you along with another movie or two! xD

Evey Hammond: Who are you?

V: Who? Who is but the form following the function of what, and what I am is a man in a mask.

Evey Hammond: Well I can see that.

V: Of course you can. I'm not questioning your powers of observation, I'm merely remarking upon the paradox of asking a masked man who he is.

Haha, so amusing. =)

I was really curious to find out who acted as V, since you never get to see the man under the mask. To my surprise, it was, him..

Okay... I think most won't be able to tell who he is in this picture.

Let's try that again..

Much better.. xP

Elrond and Mr. Smith a.k.a. Hugo Weaving.

With that beard he looked like he could have played Obi-Wan Kenobi in Episode
III instead of Evan McGregor. Hahahaha..

He portrayed the role spot on I must say. Poor guy, having to memorize so many
flowery words that begin with V. Lol..

Guess what's the next movie he's staring in..

Oh yeah...

Transformers 28th of June!! Premier day!! I'll be buying tickets in the morning for an evening show. If you can make it and wanna come, give a shout at the Cbox! Don't say we didn't tell you! =P

4 and a half more hours! We're almost there men!!

Can you taste it? The sweet taste of bumming and getting enough sleep. Oh, how I miss getting enough sleep..

I'm terrified, really.. This last paper will be murder. The lack of preparation doesn't help either.

I'm doing this to chill a little..

I've fallen in love with Our Lady Peace all over again.

"Life is waiting for youuuuuuu.."

I keep accidentally spelling peace as pease.. Dunno why..

Argh... Stress stress..

Another 13 and a half hours left to my last paper. Gonna stay back in college till the wee hours in the morning to do exercises. So much of Signal Processing is a mystery to me, but I believe if I do enough sample questions I'll be fine, I hope.. =(

16 and a half hours, and we'll be free men..

TRANSFORMERS!

Thursday, June 14, 2007

Dare I say it?

One more paper to go!

Thank God the last paper wasn't as difficult as I imagined it to be.

The late night studying paid off I guess.

Slept a glorious 8 hours last night.. Syok. *big grin* =D

Can't say I'm all excited to sit for my last paper though..

Signal processing.. Madness.

FTT, IIR Filters, FIR filters, Linear Time Invariant Systems, Z-transform.

Sigh.. I can't wait for the holidays.

Then there's the stress of finding out the results.. That's worse than sitting for the paper itself.

TRANSFORMERS! 28th of this month!! Must watch!!

Pass the ball

Monday, June 11, 2007

More cool pranks on more poor souls. Hahaha.. One of them wanted to run away! Lol!!

Pass the Ball Prank - The funniest videos are a click away

Death?

Death - Just For Laughs - Free videos are just a click away

Ahahahaha! So terrible of them.. but really really clever I must say! So good until the first auntie victim got headaches, the second was panicking and the third was almost hyperventilating! Lol..

It's you, it's you..

Michael Buble – Everything lyrics

You're a falling star, You're the get away car.
You're the line in the sand when I go too far.
You're the swimming pool, on an August day.
And you're the perfect thing to say.

And you play you're coy, but it's kinda cute.
Ah, When you smile at me you know exactly what you do.
Baby don't pretend, that you don't know it's true.
Cause you can see it when I look at you.

[Chorus:]
And in this crazy life, and through these crazy times
It's you, it's you, You make me sing.
You're every line, you're every word, you're everything.

You're a carousel, you're a wishing well,
And you light me up, when you ring my bell.
You're a mystery, you're from outer space,
You're every minute of my everyday.

And I can't believe, that I'm your man,
And I get to kiss you baby just because I can.
Whatever comes our way, ah we'll see it through,
And you know that's what our love can do.

[Chorus:]
And in this crazy life, and through these crazy times
It's you, it's you, You make me sing
You're every line, you're every word, you're everything.

So, La, La, La, La, La, La, La
So, La, La, La, La, La, La, La

[Chorus:]
And in this crazy life, and through these crazy times
It's you, it's you, You make me sing.
You're every line, you're every word, you're everything.
You're every song, and I sing along.
'Cause you're my everything.
Yeah, yeah

So, La, La, La, La, La, La, La
So, La, La, La, La, La, La, La, La, La, La, La

Currently lovin' this song at the moment. Go get it! You'll love it too!! It's Michael Buble! What's not to love? You'll be swaying to the music by the time you hit the chorus. =D

"It's you, it's you.."

Thinking of opening a box.net account just like in Kee Ken's blog. Later I guess, when I have the time.

Nine days' acoustic version of "If I Am" is pretty good as well. Then again, I think I'm pretty biased on this one since I'm a sucker for acoustic versions.

"And in this crazy life..."

Ah.. This song's not leaving my head anytime soon.

Wednesday, June 06, 2007

Just got myself a Cornetto Chocoluv.. RM2.50. Nothing but pure chocolate indulgence. I'm depressed.. Gonna need all the endorphins I can get..

Along with that, a bottle of Spritzer Mineral Water to keep away the heatiness. RM1.10.. Gotta watch my health, especially after what happened last semester..

It was the night before a Final Paper. Feeling down and frustrated, I proceeded downstairs looking for something to munch my blues away.

I found salvation in the form of a tong of Keropok and a bottle of chili sauce. I happily munched away. Without realizing, I devoured the whole tong of keropok while watching CSI. Happy and contented, I finished up my studying and retired for the night.

I woke up the next morning with a bleeding throat the size of a marble..

It was horrible I tell you.. Couldn't swallow properly for weeks.

Drink lots of water during exam season!

Back to studying I go..

A toast

Monday, June 04, 2007

Went to college this morning for a replacement lecture. Our very last one this semester. I can tell Miss Rini is awfully worried for us, the final paper must be crazy. Most of us didn't exactly get superb results in our mid-semester test either. She's giving us as much help as she can.. Hopefully things will work out. Even if it doesn't, I know God has his reasons and has a better plan for me. =)

Went for lunch with a few guys from my class today. Namely Micheal, Mun How and How Zhe. I promised Micheal I'll buy him a coke to celebrate our mini-project circuit marks. 8.4 out of 10.. Fantastic considering our circuit sound could barely be heard and that it wasn't working most of the time. =)

Out of impulse I got the other guys a drink too. We toasted to (hopefully) good results/passing grades and getting through this semester. I'm terrified now, really.. And here I am posting..

Got this one from Ee May's blog.. Love the first one, Haha!

Lee Ee May's post has made me look around YouTube for thai adverts. Funny stuff, I never knew the Thai's were so good until Xin showed me a Thai face cleanser advert. Hilarious.. I'll look for that one and post when I find it.

"What day is it today?"

"Friday"

Lol...

I so understand that feeling.

Panic

It is inevitable.

3 days..

Why am I so relaxed?

I'm barely prepared for it.

Heck, I even took a nap this afternoon and overslept.

...

*Panic*

Study now study now...

Another 4 days to Finals, sigh.. Give me enough single core wire from the electrical lab and I could very well hang myself... So much to prepare, I pray that I'll make it. Do remember me in prayer..

It's scary how the fate of thousands of ringgit depend on a 5 question paper that will only last for 3 hours. *shudder*

Not to mention juggling the Youth Outreach event as well. LORD, give me strength..

Having the grace of a plank of wood, acting isn't exactly my forte.. But I'm hopeful that it'll all work out. =)

An item to Praise God for! The drum synth circuit actually worked!! =D In my eyes, it's a modern day miracle. Not to mention it all happened 10 minutes before the lecturer came to us to review our circuit. All those hours at the lab were worth it after all. What a joy it was to see the result on the computer screen. =D The very same graph we saw days ago then our circuit was working momentarily.

See the blue shaded part? That's the stuff euphoria is made of. =D

We had 15 minutes left before lecturer comes to review our circuit and our drum circuit was showing no signs of working. Desperately, I thought of a way to rewire the circuit so that we would at least get some sort of output rather than nothing at all. We tried it out and it worked! But seconds later we heard a feint pop sound. A moment of shock followed. Our circuit was not working at all.. AGAIN.

We panicked, at least I did. 10 more minutes before the lecturer come and we just blew something. Quickly, we tried to figure out what could be wrong. Micheal then took out one of the IC chips and tested it along with a few other IC's we had. His suspicion was right, we just blew one of our op-amps.

Rushing back to our circuit, we placed our last and only working op-amp back into the prototyping board. While Micheal was wiring it up, I was bracing myself for the worst. I didn't expect it to work, not at all..

Miraculously, we heard that feint twanging sound we heard so many days ago. Looking at the computer screen, we saw the exact graph we wanted.

It felt as if we just landed a man on the moon..

Taking the circuit apart after presentation felt very therapeutic. =D I must say I enjoyed taking the components apart a little too much. Still, I couldn't help but feel a sense of sadness of taking apart something we've worked so hard on. As a souvenir I kept one of the LED's that we bought from Pudu. I'm not sure why myself, Haha. It looks like a small piece of rubbish sitting in the car.

Something to remind me of that little miracle God has done I suppose. =)

On a side note, Jonnnnnn... I miss you la.... xD Ahahahaha.. Friday nights is just not the same without Gaming Night. Lol.. Itchy for Golden Axe III! And me and Ken have a game to introduce to you! Really kiasu game! Hahaha. Don't we Ken? =D

University Rants..

Thursday, May 24, 2007

Exactly two weeks without posting, my apologies.

Well.. my Finals are in exactly 2 weeks as well..

Ah? 2 weeks.. Coincidence??

Can't fully blame me either, there were days I wanted to update. On those days Blogger decides not to let me update. Sigh..

The week has been murder. I have 5 assignments due tomorrow. FIVE!! What are they nuts? Can't they leave us alone to study for our final papers?? No wonder the failing rate for E&E engineering is through the roof..

Tomorrow so happens to be our presentation day for our drum synth circuit as well. The darn thing caused us plenty of misery.. It has not shown any signs of functioning until about 3 days ago, when my lab partner somehow managed to obtain a soft but obvious beat sound coming out of the speakers. Heck, it sounded more like someone twanging a rubber band but we didn't care. We were just glad it finally worked. Much celebration followed..

However, our joy was short-lived. The next time we tested it, it didn't work at all. After spending hours troubleshooting we've only managed to obtain a small output (indicated by a blinking LED) but no sound was to be heard. =(

Sigh... God knows how many hours we've put into that thing. Sigh.. we can only hope for the best tomorrow.. Who knows, maybe it'll sing again..

This image was shamefully stolen from Alvin's Blog. =P
Couldn't find anything better from Google.

Volume One of Heroes has finally come to an end.. I felt it could have been better. Oh well.. So looking forward to Volume 2: Generations! =D Unfortunately as Alvin mentioned it won't be out till September.. Sigh... By then I'm already halfway through my second semester.

In the meantime, Soo Hwa has passed me Ouran High School Host Club to watch.. Guess it'll do while waiting for Heroes..

As gay as it looks I found one of the episodes to be really entertaining. So random, my kind of humor. =D

Well, that's all the time I have. Back to assignments for me..

Celebrating 100 posts and counting!!

Thursday, May 10, 2007

According to blogger, this would be my 100th post.

100.. wow.. =D

The Noodle Shop - Celebrating a hundred posts!!

See Crissy!! This is NOT a hangat-hangat tahi ayam thing!! =p

Gah.. Up till now, Photobucket is still not working well.. Sigh. Guess I'll have to stick with Bloggers image uploading service.

Kill the fattened calf!! =D I've just finished tidying up this beast of a circut..

It's our Electronics mini-project, a drum synth circuit! Haven't tested this bad boy yet. When given an electrical signal of over 3 volts, it's supposed to give off a drum sound. Can't wait to give it a shot! We're hoping that when we apply a periodic sine signal into it, it'll give us that "oonst oonst oonst" rhythm. xD

My fingers were sore after using a pair of scissors as a wire-stripper. Darn lady in the hardware shop conned me! The wire-stripper she sold me is better of as a nail clipper. No wonder she gave me a discount..

As a pat on the back to myself, I raided the fridge and found this..

Ahh.. Reminds me of the days things used to be so simple.. =)

The Luigi Story

Haha, I had a good laugh with this one. Think fans of the old school Mario series will find this funny. Poor Luigi!! Didn't know he attempted hip hop! Lol..

I hate you Ammar...

Sunday, May 06, 2007

A MG rover 2 seater convertible, for 50 thousand..

A gorgeous 1.8L turbo for 50 grand..

Celina called me a minute ago, telling me if I wanted to see something cool. She told me they were on the way to my place.

Lo and behold, a shiny sports car drove in and parked in front of my house at 11.30 in the evening.

As of this moment, I reallyyy don't like you Ammar.. Lol..

Apparently his uncle (who owns 3 Ferrari's and 5 planes btw..) sold it to him rather spontaneously after they failed to find a nicer car for him. 50 k..

Ammar told me he's rather eccentric as well. He once had a fantastic modified Mini Cooper which cost him 400 thousand in total. His friend liked it a lot, so he offered it to him for 40 thousand. 40!!!!

Before they went off, Ammar told me his uncle still wants to sell off his Mazda Miata for 40 thousand, probably less...

What are my chances if I sell off the Honda City and beg my parents on my knees I wonder.. Lol

Nouilles de cari

Wow.. I've churned out 4 posts in 4 days. I'm on a roll man..

Well, a bad time to be on a roll really. Less than 4 weeks to my first final paper. ECE2061 - Linear Electronics. *Shudder*..

My friend actually told me that he thinks the subject is fascinating. (me in response: WHAT?!?!) Half the time I have no comprehension on the words that come out of Miss Rini's (actually, Dr. Rini) mouth. Then again, my friend IS a 100% scholarship student with a 92% average.

He has saved our butts quite a few times for the last 2 semesters. Brilliant guy.. Great teacher too. He has helped us fathom the many mysteries of mathematics and engineering.

Then again, it must be stressful being him. For one thing, Monash only provides the scholarship if your performance is up to par. If he gets anything below a 90% average they'll reduce the scholarship they're giving him. Imagine the dread he must feel when group projects don't come out so hot.. Poor guy.

It seems to be a trend to put up a few words of some foreign language in MSN nicknames lately. Judith has "Dio e Fidelel" beside hers. Another pal has "Carpe Diem" beside his. Yet another friend, Aish has "la Cappy de la Nior".

All sounds pretty canggih.. Though I don't have a clue what they mean.

So using AltaVista's Babel Fish, I decided to make my own.

---- "Rodillo picante del atún.." ----

What does it mean you might ask?

Spicy tuna roll..
*grin* In Spanish in fact!

And how about "Nouilles de cari"?

Currynoodles in French. Amazing what technology can do these days huh? =)

Flaming!!

Saturday, May 05, 2007

Went for jogging with Hannah again today. Unfortunately I also went for steamboat dinner with Ammar and Celina. Talk about one step forward, two steps back. Lol..

Flaming at Sunway is getting better!! And the charge of RM17.50 per person is now inclusive of drinks! Pretty cheap for a "eat all you can, drink all you like" steamboat if you ask me. Not to mention the ice-cream there is in abundance unlike Talipon.

Nothing beats that black-sauce chicken in the other steamboat place in Sunway though.. Haha, awesome stuff..

It's always nice following Ammar and Celina out for a meal. There's always something funny to talk and laugh about. It's times like these I'll try to catch up with them. I miss the usual gang so badly, Kin Leong, Han Yee, Anton and all. I treasure all the many wonderful memories being classmates with them for two whole years. The holiday trips, the sleepless nights at my place doing projects, either building newspaper bridges or calculating the resultant sheer stress acting on our truss beam.. Haha. Oh how I miss it all.. =)

And I gave it all up just to do Electronics and Computer Engineering? Sigh.. I should have chosen Mechanical Engineering..

Women are better in gaming?!

Wednesday, May 02, 2007

I thought this would be interesting to people like Liesl, Kat and Xin. =)

I quote..

WOMEN play computer games more than fellas — and are BETTER at them.

Two-thirds of those aged 25-43 play regularly, compared to 35 per cent of men, claims a poll of 2,000.

Psychologist Susan Quilliam said multi-tasking-women were better at problem solving. She said: “They are more intellectually prepared than men.”

- The Sun, 1st May 2007 -

Haha, it all makes sense now. No wonder Xin totally whooped me in Quickspot. And that explains how Kat can play Zoo Keeper until the wee hours in the morning. She must be putting in many hours in her "Baby". =D

Women may be better gamers, but nothing beats good ol' raw unadulterated kiasuism. I think Jon is a shining example. =D 20 sums in 11 seconds.. Madness..

Blake!~

I just HAD to post this..

Blake's rendition of Bon Jovi's "You Give Love a Bad Name" was FREAKISHLY MIND-BLOWINGLY AWESOME!!

Tina and I couldn't help but squeal as we watched. His singing was superb, his beat-boxing was phenomenal! Had to pick up my jaw from the floor when it was done, we were pretty much drooling all over the floor..

BLAKEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!

So leng chai sommore!! lol..

The game's simple enough.. Use your mouse to keep your balance on the raging bull you're riding. The longer you can hold on, the faster the bull gets..

So, let the games begin! My first highscore -- 76512! Take that!! =D

Rodeo!!

Photobucket is still dead. =( Haven't been able to access it in awhile. Guess I'll rely on Blogger for the meantime.

Hannah and I have started jogging regularly now. (I would guess some readers would have fallen of their chairs now in shock.) We have decided we didn't want to be fatties anymore. xD So now we jog 3 times a week, 30 minutes a day..

For those who don't know, my tummy has become so prominent it was given a name. "Matthew"..

Don't ask.. I really don't know why myself..

Well, little by little, I hope to bid Matthew farewell for good.

Or as Hannah would put it, "More like good riddance."

So currently, we jog round and round this patch of land. For those who know where this patch of land is, give yourselves a pat on the back. =) No prize though, sorry. Maybe Ken can sponsor some hmmm? =D

So I've measured the diameter of the circle to be approximately 75 meters. So after doing some math, we are able to find the circumference of the circle using the formula πd, d being the diameter of the circle. (feels awfully like typing a lab report.. lol)

Anyway, long story short.. 1 lap around the track would be about 235.7 meters. We usually do 7-8 laps in 30 mins so that would total to 1.5 - 1.8km each session. Haha, I think that's not bad. Nothing compared to John's 3-4 km runs though.. Lol.

Cut us some slack, we just started. :) You wait John...

nuts..

Monday, April 23, 2007

I was feeling kinda tired after a day in college.. So I decided to take a nap at 6.30.

Wanted to start studying by 8pm. I'm having an exam on Thursday, Telecommunications studies. Crazy stuff..

I just woke up. It is now 9.30.

nuts.. :|

Green Arrow!!

Thursday, April 12, 2007

With a sister like Tina, who needs Santa? xD

The Green Arrow!!

So nice of her to get me this. It's now proudly standing on my toy shelf. hehehe.. Thanks Tina!! =D

Apparently the only ones left were Green Arrow - 2 more, Batman - 1 more and Aquaman - 5 more. Haha, only the keh leh feh's left I suppose. Lol.. Superman and the rest all long gone.

Poor Aquaman.. Hahahahahaha...

Monkey Kick Off (now with leaderboard)

Friday, April 06, 2007

This game is so simple, there's no excuse not to beat Jon's reign of highscores. =D

Photopost

Monday, April 02, 2007

I was about to go through another day without updating, but then apon visiting Kee Ken's blog I decided I didn't want to win Ii Shan in the most-lazily-updated-blog competition. =p

Here's to Gabriel, who requested for me to post something.. anything. =)

The shot would have been soooo much nicer without the pak cik in the back.. *coughphotoshopcough*

Featuring master bubble-blowers, Fong Kee Ken and Hannah Wong!

My left rear view mirror which somehow magically disappeared one day. Thankfully it was covered by insurance, the darn thing costs 300 bucks to replace. How i wish it was my right mirror that magically disappeared. The only thing holding my right mirror intact is a piece of tape.

I'm an uncle!! This is my first nephew. Cute isn't he? Awfully smart too.. If you offer him a soft toy on your left hand and a 1 ringgit note on your right, he goes for the dollar note..

Better still, if you have 10 bucks in your felt hand and 5 bucks on your right he goes for the 10 and walks away giggling hapilly. xD

Goodbye John Lee!! Have a great time serving in Cambodia! We'll remember you in prayer. =)

Let the slugfest BEGIN!!

Wednesday, March 07, 2007

After receiving much feedback concerning my dying blog, here's a quick update to keep you occupied.

I had no clue that I haven't updated nuts for a good 3 weeks. It felt like just the other day when I was in Kuantan celebrating Chinese New Year with my family and relatives.. Good times.. Good times..

And I still owe my cousin Xia Toong a Chinese New Year post.

Now that I'm back in college, blogging was the last thing on my mind.. Not to mention that I'm updating this despite the fact that I have one tutorial assignment and one lab preliminary work due tomorrow. Sigh... I'm a dead man.

Well, enough about me.. Here's where YOU come in!!

Vanilla

YES PEOPLE!! Another Flash game slugfest!! xD A pretty straightforward game. In Vanilla, it's as simple as clicking the highlighted areas of a growing tree. Your job is to maintain and grow your tree as tall as you possibly can without touching the edges of the playing field.

You know the drill, you guys play and post your highscores in the Cbox. I on the other hand will try my very best to update a Leaderboard to ignite the kiasu spirit within you..

This Flash game slugfest is proudly sponsored by.. Mushikago!! Which means that you're not just fighting for bragging rights, you also stand a chance to win actual prizes!! =D

What they are of course is entirely up to him.. could be a few DVD's from those expensive imported Gaming Mags.. Or it could be that face lifting cream from the January issue of Woman's Weekly, I'm not sure.. xD What is the prizes anyway, Ken?

Back to my work it is.. Have a blast!! =D

Thank you!! =)

A wise man once told me, "The way to a man's heart is through his stomach".

Okay... Maybe not a wise man. It was probably the television or something.

Either way, this girl knows this full well..

Cheese Cake!! Need I say more? xD

Attention!! Attention to Miss Crissida Wong, Suleen Lew and Daphne Lee. In conjunction with Valentines Day, The Noodle Shop has a free gift for the names mentioned. Please inquire with the management to redeem your gifts. Have a nice day!! =)

Post Valentines - Pre Chinese New Year post

Friday, February 16, 2007

Good evening people! =)

I confess.. I've been awfully lazy lately since I stopped working. Haha, my extended holidays aren't helping at all. For the past one week I've been greeting each new day with lunch.. =p

Can't exactly say I'm looking forward to get back to university and being productive again either. *shrug* Haha!

Not mention the funky games keeping me busy on the Nintendo DS! I'm loving Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney! Must get my dad to play it somehow.. It should spark some interest, him being a lawyer and all. Haha..

OBJECTION!! Lol..

The picture above is completely random and has nothing to do with the text above whatsoever.

Tomorrow I'm off to Kuantan with my entire family to visit my grandparents and relatives for Chinese New Year. Not to mention indulge in my grandmother's heavenly cooking, (Her fried eggs are magical.. I kid you not...) ,gambling playing card games and Mahjong, collecting wonderful red packets with money inside and drinking soft drinks like there's no tomorrow..

Kuantan is a wonderful place.. =)

May you all have a blessed Chinese New Year!!

Mumba!!~

Monday, February 12, 2007

Plenty happening lately.. Then again, maybe I'm just lazy. *grin*

The Nintendo DS is so awesome!!..

Well, it's gonna be a filler post I guess.

Beard Is Singing - video powered by Metacafe

I thought this was quite amusing. Lol..

Have a blessed week! =)

Webcam fun!!

Friday, February 02, 2007

As of today, I am once again a full-time bum. =D

Yesterday was my last day of work at Micro House. Its been quite a month. =) I'm glad I took this job. It wasn't an easy job but I believe I've gained the experience I wanted. I've gained a little knowledge on the business world, some extra computer and IT skills and also a little more con persuasion and communication skills.

Oh, not to mention the extra +12 Feet Endurance bonus. =D

And on my last day, as a pat on the back to myself.. I got myself this!

A 1.3M pixel webcam! At staff price too!! Only 60 bucks!! =D

Goodbye then Micro House! Till next time.. Thanks to everyone there who have been so good to me. To Mr. Chu for the job in the first place, Mr Low, Joseph, Encik Abu, Yeoh Shi, Wang Ai, Peter, Keong, Chee Fai and Josh. Thanks for everything! =)

Now that I'm no longer bounded to MidValley, I can finally send the car for a check-up. She's already 1200 kilometers due. Not to mention finding sponsers for the upcoming Prefects reunion dinner. I'm supposed to approach Dominos Pizza and Monash Uni tomorrow. Guess this is where the con persuasion skills come in.

I followed Xin and her classmates video shooting today. They're doing a documentary of Little India, Klang.

It was pretty interesting though I wasn't directly involved. I never knew taking videos were so hard. I always thought it was just a matter of pointing and shooting. For a 7 minute film, they were there for at Little India for 12 ENTIRE HOURS! 12!. I was only there for half of the shooting (as a pack mule) and it was already crazy.

They even woke up at 5.30 to catch a sunrise scene and to record the shop owners opening their stalls.

Mad...

But it was all worth it in the end. The bloopers were awfully entertaining. =D The people there were really nice too, participating and helping us in the video shoot.

One more thing.. GAMARJOBAT IS BACK IN MALAYSIA!!

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

A few of us watched this last year, these guys are HILARIOUS!! They do something they call "shut-up comedy". Please tell me ASAP if you want to go! I'm trying to round up a few people to watch this. Just ask Kee Ken or Daphne! It was well worth it!!

Check out the website http://www.gardnerandwife.com for more details.

Work work...

Friday, January 19, 2007

Wow... It's been awhile. Where do I start?

Photobucket hasn't been very good to me lately. Fortunately today it's working fine. Here we go then. =D

For those who don't know, I'm working now until my course resumes again.

I wish I could tell you that it was at my dad's office.. You're blessed John Lee. So very blessed..

Oh how I miss the people, the laughs, the weekly KFC meal with Miss Carrie. But most of all I miss the chair..

Yes you heard me right. The chair.

Here's where I'm working now.

Micro House in MidValley, selling laptops, printers, iPods and many more PC accessories..

Well, I can't complain. I pretty much asked for it. I wanted to have some experience since I felt that it would be good for me. Guess I'm getting what I asked for.

My feet have never been put to such good use. The hours are from 11am to 10pm. That's about 10 hours of standing a day serving customers. Minus an hour for lunch and short breaks.

And after a week of standing..

This appeared on my big toe. I believe Simon has exactly the same thing. I remember him telling me it never went away. Lol.. You must be a really good prefect to get that while you're still in school Simon. =P

Can't say that it's all bad either. It feels great to successfully sell that 3999 ringgit laptop to that doubtful customer. =)

Not to mention the adrenaline rush you get when you see that same customer come back the very next day with a disgruntled look on their face to complain about the laptop. =p

I still remember the very first thing I sold.

xD

And check out the second thing I sold.

Gorgeous.. A 8Gb iPod Nano, sleek black.

Then again, maybe it doesn't count. The guy who got it was the "I-have-so-much-money-I-don't-have-to-around-for-a-better-deal" kind. Lol..

For some customers, you pour out all your heart to recommending something to them and they don't even twitch. Others just come to you and ask, "What does that do? Oh cool, how much is it then? Okay, I'll take one". =)

Over the last weekend, a few of us ex-RBS monkeys had a road trip up to Cameron Highlands. =D

It was to visit Gabriel, my college-mate Leong Eng and Reeshie who are currently in RBS. I'm guessing Reeshie is a RBS thing.. Haha. =D

You look so macho in that Eng..

They're doing well I'm happy to say. =) Suleen's gift of donuts to Gabe and Reesh was a hit in the campsite. I see business opportunity..

It was also a great time to relive some good memories, eating good food and indulging in superb banana pancakes and scones. Oh, I salivate just thinking about it. Even thought it was short, it was well worth it. =)

And 8 of us shared this HUGE hostel room. My toilet was bigger than the room's hall. Then again it wasn't much of a hall. It was more like a "space in front of the door".

Haha, what fun.

And who would have thought you'll be able to find this in a strawberry farm?

An airsoft handgun, complete with an accurate laser sight! Only for 12 bucks!! =D

This is so not a toy. It's powerful stuff man, accurate too. Wonder if I can get the yellow pellets here if I run out.

Well.. It's time to go to bed. If you've read this post up to this point, I congratulate you. =p

Thank God it's Friday tomorrow. Can't wait for a weekend break.

One last thing..

one more..

Eat your heart out Gabriel Tan! I work with this dude. =D Go ask him for pointers. Lol..

wait wait.. One last one..

Okay.. I'm done. =)

Sequel

Tuesday, January 16, 2007

Despite how tired I am now, I just had to post this!!

I'm sure previous fans of this series will be pleased. =)

Yes!! It's HERE!!!

Have you finished the first one Hannah? =D

Bring on 2007!!~

Monday, January 01, 2007

This is kinda late, I know.. =)

A BLESSED NEW YEAR TO ALL!!

Wow.. has it sunk in yet? It's 2007 already!! First of all I want to wish everyone a joyous new year!! May the year ahead be filled with His blessings, joy and love! =)

This years Watchnight service at church has been a huge blessing. Kudos to Desmond and Choo for leading the meeting! =D Contrary to what most people believe, I truly enjoy celebrating New Years day in church. There's this much warmer and cozier feeling to it. =)

I just wish I could have joined the Pondok Gang to launch fireworks at the padang. I sure you guys had a blast! Pun not intended. =)

Also, a happy belated birthday to Aish!! =D It was awesome to have such a huge reunion with the Pondok Gang.. Not to mention it was an outing to The Curve since Aisyah got a RM 120 Borders voucher from her parents. Lucky girl.. =D

Ah, while we were there...

The entire first appearances of the GREEN LANTERN, Hal Jordan!!

I just had to get it! For a book that was 500 pages thick and only costs 30 bucks, it was a steal!!

I'm still not finished with the book yet. It's that thick!!

It's such a conspiracy.. The Green Arrow issue for the same kind of book costs 55 RINGGIT!! FIFTY!!!

Gah...

Why?...

I'm sorry to break your heart Jon, the Superman issue was 30 bucks too. Lol.. I believe they gave discounts to the not-so-happening superheros. =p

Yay Green Arrow!!!!

Now you know what to get me for my birthday.. =p
