Outside the Operations Office

I've always loved flowers. Hahaha, not the most manliest things to say eh? =P

What's not to like? The gorgeous colors, the intricate design. It's all the evidence I need to know that there's a Creator God. =)

The Tulip Festival Trip is tomorrow! Better sleep early, charge my batteries and clear the memory card! Should be a blast!

Warp speed ahead!

Thursday, September 25, 2008

Chinese to create the first Warp Drive!

Go Chinese! lol.

A device that converts electrical energy to thrust through microwaves. My goodness, what an age to be an electrical engineer. Imagine the possibilities, especially in the field of space travel.

First the Large Hadron Collider and now this. No kidding when they say technology expands exponentially.

Sigh.. reminds me that my finals are in a month. Better hit the books real soon.

Cantonese?!

Just had a short chat with my brother. Apparently my parcel to him has arrived in his hands safe and sound. Thank God. Hope you like it Jud. =D

Dearest cousins Kee Ken and Chui Yeng! Jud has your stuff as well. =D

After Jud a had a short chat with my mom and dad. Dad working hard as usual. Why you sell the Honda la dad? I liked that Honda. Haha.

Heard from my mom that my sister speaks fluent Cantonese now and both my mom and my sis converse occasionally in Cantonese. My sister, speaking fluent cantonese. Now I feel both slow and left out. (TT_TT) Ahahaha.. My group of friends ever since pre-U were mostly chinese speaking but I didn't pick up squat. Sigh.. Tina, I salute you man.

Mini Update.

Spring is here!

Joy!

For the first time in months I abandoned my jacket and went to uni with nothing but a thin t-shirt and jeans. Can't wait to wear shorts and flip flops to class again!

Who doesn't love the spring?

The glorious sun shining, cool weather (not cold), clear gorgeous skies! xD

Thank God I'll be gone before the summer hits, lol. Summer is not very fun, scorching cancer inducing sun, flies twice size of the kacang you get in your nasi lemak buzzing all over your face.

Hahaha, I'll miss the weather here.

Just booked my flight ticket to go back home! Couldn't be more excited! It feels like it's so soon! How time just flew this semester.. Last semester felt 3 times longer at least. Must be the stress and rush caused from the Robot, Electromagnetism labs and Switching Electronics.

Now to get Final Examinations out of the way and it's hello Australian Holiday! xD And sweet home Subang Jaya!

Haircut.

Saturday, September 20, 2008

I had a haircut today.

And I really really like it. =D hehe.

Korean Hairstylists are the best!

I've never had such an expensive haircut all my life.. ahahaha.

Then again, it's only 10 dollars more than the cheapest haircut place I know.

When you have to multiply by 3 to convert prices here to your home currency, a very ordinary 7 dollar bowl of curry noodles sounds outrageous enough already.

I think Nikki (the hairstylist) is so brave! Backpacking all over South East Asia, alone! Vietnam, Thailand, India, Malaysia, Laos.

What a champion! I'm not that brave man.

I don't think I've ever chatted so much during a haircut all my life. Haha, so friendly the lady. =D Must look for a Korean Hairstylist back in Malaysia, ahaha!

Baby 9.0

video

Ahahaha, I feel quite proud of myself. Dug through Jian Wei's Blog source code and managed to extract the video of Baby! lol. Thanks Jian Wei! =P

Baby 9.0! Works awesome, we can put it on the track and go yum cha elsewhere without worrying about it. =D It's a tad bit slow but we're working on it.

Sticky Notes!

Thursday, September 18, 2008

Hahahaha! Looks so fun! And so colorful!!

Richo Gangster Ball!

Friday, September 12, 2008

What a night it was! The event was a little dull at times but it's the company that makes all the difference. =)

And Red Scooter's photography service uploaded the photo's so quickly! Cekap!

Not to mention their website is gorgeous, and responsive too! I was so skeptical of their online photo distribution site.

I'll just use the stuff from their site first. =D

The Gentlemen.

The Ladies.Family Photo.

Ahahahaha! So comical this pic! Looks like they're after somebody on a scooter. xD

There's at least 500 more photos I've yet to see. The college head said that all our group seem to be doing is taking truckloads of photos.

Baby 6.0

Tuesday, September 09, 2008

Ever since the last video, our robot has been torn apart and put together about 5-6 times. For every problem you solve there's always something that you mess up. There's always a trade-off.

Sigh.. C'est la vie.

Well, our precious now can complete both the maze and the uphill and downhill track. To be able to go downhill, we had to change the gear configuration. Now it's so slowwww. (T_T)

How to race like this?

One step at a time I guess.

Gears!

Ahahaha! So happy with it! xD

Funny how much joy a printed piece of paper gives. =P

Gears of War!

Fuh..

Wahahahaha!

Certainly something I'll miss when I'm done here. =p

Shucks..

Scrubs!

Sunday, September 07, 2008

Oh how I love this show. Thank God for DC++. xD

It's a rare weekend where I don't have a test to study for or any big deadlines looming nearby. I invite the weekend off with open arms! =D

Drowned myself in 6 episodes of Scrubs over the weekend.. Awesome stuff..

This guy is the champion.

I squeal with glee every time Dr. Cox shows up. Ahahahaha! I sure ketawa terbahak-bahak. xD

The Janitor is another champion. Always cari pasal with JD. lol.. What an awesome show.

How come there are not sitcoms on Electrical Engineers, Architects, and Business students? It's always the Lawyers and the Doctors. haha.

Google Chrome!

Tuesday, September 02, 2008

Just stumbled upon it today! Looks fascinating! =D Google making their own browser? Sign me up!

The beta is out tomorrow!

I'm a staunch Firefox fanboy though. It's gonna take a lot to win me over. We're gonna have to wait and see how it goes!

Who needs a boring long article to tell you what Google Chrome is? Read it up in 38 pages of glorious comic book drawings! =D Brilliant people these guys at Google are!

Nickname: Baby!

This is our baby! hahahaha. 8 weeks of sweat and blood by the JW team! (Jian Wei, Jun Wei and myself.. Ju Wei).

So happened only, hahaha. Dr. Price seemed amused by this coincidence.

Tomorrow we're presenting baby for preliminary rounds. Wish us luck!!

It currently works halfway, it can go through the maze and up the slope but we haven't figured how to slow it down for going downhill.. Hope we get a good review.

Hope you enjoy the video of it working as much as we did! =D

Pictures!

Yay! Some snowboarding pictures just came in! Thanks Cheryl! xD

The Journey!

Arrival! What a gorgeous day it was!

Jumping shots. hahaha, I'm so amazed they could still jump with the heavy snowboarding boots.

Hahaha, in the end the goggles was for show. Every time I put them on my glasses will fog up. Bah. lol.

For some reason the rental shop's longer boards are purple in color. (-_-") I snowboarded all day with a purple snowboard.

I also lost my beanie while riding the ski lifts.. Had to wear Val's colorful Roxy scarf to cover my cold ears, it was very Jamaican looking. lol.

"Angels fall without you there.."

Sunday, August 31, 2008

So inspiring! The Goo Goo Dolls sound so good live! =D Unlike some bands that can't do live for nuts. As much as I love some of Hoobastank's stuff, their live is.. meh.

I've always wanted to go busking one day. The plan would be to obtain a busking license here in Melbourne ($50, not cheap man!) with a group of friends, each person picks a spot and busks for a set time limit, say.. 3 hours. At the end of the day, see who has the most earnings. Haha!

It'll be fun, and an interesting experience too. Don't you think? =D

Muscle.. pain...

Just came back from SNOWBOARDING!!

Hahahahaha! Such incredible fun it is! xD

And it was easier to get started than I thought it would be! Sure looks easier than skiing.

Of course, I was also incredibly talented at falling all over the place. Hilarious! xD

Hope I can go again sometime in the future! Shame it was only a day trip!

The weather was gorgeous for skiing in the morning! Bright blue skies, clear weather! Ah.. what a sight!

When evening came the weather was a nightmare.. Strong winds, poor visibility. Winds were so strong it could push you uphill on the snowboard. Suffer like mad.

My body is aching like an old man now. hahahaha, but it was so FUNNNNNN..

Back to the weekdays again. I'm so excited to get our mouse maze robot working! During our first test run it made a PERFECT U-turn on the maze track! What a sight that was! =D It's days like these I'm happy to be studying electrical engineering.

We must perfect it before presentation on Wednesday! Yosh!!

Mt. Buller!

Friday, August 29, 2008

I'm going SNOWBOARDING!

Hahaha. so excited!

Only a day trip though. Must make the most of it!

Hopefully I'm more talented on standing on my two feet instead of rolling down the snow-covered hills..

Sexy Black!

Monday, August 25, 2008

Here's to you Jud.. =P

My new darling, say hello to Sasha. xD

I so suck at putting screen protectors on. I trapped probably 3 spoonfuls of dust while applying it on.

No, I have no idea who the Penrith Panthers are.

Some Aussie Rugby team la..

Just thought it looked nice with the protective case. Ahahahahaha. xD

Never again will I be ashamed to play the DS on the train! =P
